Why would a Mediator recommend an Attorney ?

Attorneys play a vital role in the successful outcome of divorce or separation mediation. The right attorney can make coming to a mediated settlement a realistic and responsible method for solving family issues and the wrong attorney can sabotage any hope of resolving the issues without the expensive and emotionally costly battle in the Courts

"Mediation Friendly Attorney" is a distortion. No attorney should ever be "Mediation Friendly". What many mediators are trying to say is that an attorney should not 'out of hand' dismiss mediation and try to litigate every case just for litigation's sake, but rather be aggressively open and willing to view mediation as one of the better methods of resolving family matters, should the situation warrant. An attorney should first and foremost always be the clients advocate for the best possible outcome and consider all aspects to resolving the dispute.

We have compiled a list of attorneys that we feel are attorneys that work aggressively for their clients and find mediation as one of those aggressive tools to guide their client towards. We do not represent that any of these attorneys are better than others nor do we have any financial or other connections with them. You are encouraged to interview several of them and to decide which one, if any, is best for you and your situation..
